Technical Sales Representative (PHL Branch)
Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Northern VA (greater DC market)
Statement of Purpose:
Excellent opportunity with a progressive, market-leading, master stocking distributor of specialty electrical and electronic wire and cable products located strategically throughout the United States. Seeking qualified applicant for the position of Technical Sales Representative to service the Delaware, Maryland and greater District of Columbia market. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Call on existing and prospective customers to identify and service their on-going needs for specialty wire and cable products.
- Coordinate outside sales efforts focused on electrical distribution, specifying engineers and other levels of influence
- Manage communications between customers and support service staff to insure customers’ needs are properly assessed and met on a timely basis.
- Utilize the organization’s resources through Inside Sales staff to implement problem resolution and maintain effective customer relations.
- Identify and pursue potential new customers requiring specialty wire and cable products for new construction, facility maintenance and/or plant expansion projects.
- Conduct sales presentations, customer meetings, conference calls and other type of group and individual communication exercises in pursuit of outstanding customer relations and conflict resolution.
- Create and maintain account and opportunity records to insure proper reporting requirements are met.
- Participate in appropriate industry associations and events.
