CIR® Crush & Impact Resistant Cable

CIR is a next-generation impact resistant cable designed to replace old-technology cables like Type MC. This highly robust crush resistant cable offers significant advantages over Type MC for many industrial and mining applications. CIR (overall cable diameter of 1" or less) passes the same stringent crush and impact tests required by UL 2225 for Type MC-HL without the use of external armoring. These cables are highly flexible and carry exceptional bend radiuses. HL CIR cables help take the worry out of armor kinks and cracks due to tight bends in the installation process. When applications require the cable may be reused, redeployed, retrofitted, or upgraded CIR’s flexibility offers the perfect solution.

CIR® Crush & Impact Resistant Cable

HL Listed CIR cables are capable of operating in extremely cold environments. Carrying superior cold bend and impact degree ratings, along with industry leading low temperature brittlepoints- HL Listed CIR is ready to take on arctic applications. Houston Wire & Cable company stocks AmerCable's Gexol® CIR cables. Call us today to take advantage of the many benefits of CIR cables.
